Target Information
Bovine parathyroid hormone related protein (PTHrP) in Bovines is a multifunctional protein involved in various physiological processes. It is defined as a protein that shares homology with Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) and plays a role in calcium regulation, bone development, and cell signaling. In Bovines, PTHrP is crucial for mammary gland development and calcium transfer into milk during lactation. It also mediates the humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy and is involved in bone resorption, which is essential for cancer cell metastasis. Additionally, it has been implicated in the control of cell proliferation and differentiation in various tissues, including the breast and kidneys .
