Bovine Peptidase Inhibitor 16 (PI16) is a member of the cysteine-rich secretory proteins, antigen 5, and pathogenesis-related 1 proteins (CAP) superfamily. It is predicted to enable peptidase inhibitor activity and is involved in the negative regulation of peptidase activity. PI16 is also predicted to act in the negative regulation of cell growth involved in cardiac muscle cell development and is active in the extracellular space.

User Note

  1. Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. Reconstitute in 10mM PBS (pH7.4) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
