Target Information
Bovine RISC-loading complex subunit, also known as TARBP2, is an integral component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) in cattle. This subunit is vital for the assembly of RISC, which is responsible for post-transcriptional gene regulation. It aids in the loading of small RNAs, such as microRNAs (miRNAs) and small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), into the RISC. Once loaded, RISC guides these small RNAs to complementary mRNA sequences, leading to their cleavage or translational repression, thereby modulating gene expression. TARBP2 plays a significant role in various biological processes, including development, cell differentiation, and response to stress and diseases.
