Target Information
Chicken insulin-like growth factor I (IGF1) is a hormone highly similar in structure and function to insulin, playing a vital role in regulating growth, development, and metabolism in chickens. IGF1 promotes cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, and is particularly important for muscle and bone growth. It also plays a role in glucose homeostasis and the response to injury and stress. IGF1 functions by binding to its receptor, activating signaling pathways that are essential for growth and maintenance in avian species.
