Target Information
Bovine xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH) is a molybdenum-containing flavoenzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of purines, pterin, and aldehydes with NAD+ or NADP+ as electron acceptors. It plays a significant role in purine catabolism, producing uric acid as the end product and is involved in the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO). In cattle, XDH is crucial for the final stages of purine nucleotide catabolism and contributes to maintaining cellular redox balance.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with dry ice. It is recommended to aliquot as needed and store at -80°C upon receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4°C for 1 week, at < -80°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
