Target Information

Platelet-derived growth factor subunit B belongs to the platelet-derived growth factor family, which comprises four members known for their mitogenic effects on mesenchymal-origin cells. These family members share a distinctive motif consisting of eight cysteine residues. Mutations in the gene encoding this subunit have been linked to the development of meningioma.
