Target Information
The feline β3-adrenergic receptor (ADRB3) is a G protein-coupled receptor involved in lipid metabolism. It activates adenylate cyclase to increase cAMP levels, promoting lipolysis and thermogenesis. ADRB3 also regulates bladder function, cardiovascular system, and immune responses. Abnormal function of this receptor may be associated with obesity, metabolic disorders, and certain inflammatory diseases in cats.
