Target Information

Influenza A viruses (IAVs) can infect both avian and various mammalian species, including humans. H11N6 is one subtype of these viruses. The hemagglutinin (HA) protein, a homotrimeric glycoprotein located on the surface of influenza viruses, is vital for the virus's ability to infect hosts. The HA1 subunit, which comprises a receptor binding site, enables the virus to attach to specific sialyl sugar chains on the host cell surface.
