Target Information

H1N1 flu, commonly known as swine flu, is a variant of the influenza A virus. Swine influenza can result from several influenza A subtypes, such as H1N1, H1N2, H2N3, H3N1, and H3N2. The matrix protein M1 is crucial for the influenza virus's budding process from the plasma membrane of infected cells. It interacts with both the viral genetic material and envelope proteins, binding to the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane.
