Target Information

Neuregulin 1 (NRG1) is widely distributed throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. NRG1 is produced in numerous isoforms by alternative splicing, allowing it to perform a wide variety of functions. NRG1 directs ligand for the ERBB3 and ERBB4 tyrosine kinase receptors, simultaneously recruiting ERBB1 and ERBB2 coreceptors, leading to ligand-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation and activation of the ERBB receptors.
