Target Information

Follitropin Subunit Beta is encoded by the FSHB gene in pigs. FSH is a heterodimer produced by the non-covalent association of the common α gonadotropin subunit and a hormone-specific β subunit. The β subunit confers biological specificity to the ligand and its synthesis is generally considered to be rate-limiting in the production of the mature hormone.
