Target Information

Swine apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) is the major protein component of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and plays a central role in lipid metabolism, cholesterol transport, and anti-inflammatory and anti-atherogenic effects. It is involved in the reverse cholesterol transport, promoting the efflux of cholesterol from cells to HDL, and has antioxidant properties by reducing lipid hydroperoxides.
