Target Information
Swine fatty acid-binding protein, adipocyte (FABP4), is an intracellular lipid chaperone protein that facilitates the diffusion of fatty acids within the cytoplasm. It plays a significant role in lipid metabolism, particularly in adipose tissue, and is involved in the regulation of lipolysis and lipid accumulation. In swine, FABP4 contributes to the maintenance of energy homeostasis and is implicated in the pathogenesis of metabolic and vascular diseases.
