Target Information

Swine troponin I, cardiac muscle (cTnI) is a key regulatory protein in cardiac muscle contraction and relaxation. It is part of the troponin complex, which is essential for muscle contraction and is activated by calcium binding to troponin C. cTnI is also a "gold-standard" serum biomarker for diagnosing acute cardiac injury due to its heart specificity and release into circulation following cardiac tissue necrosis.
