Target Information
Swine tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6 (FASLG) is a type II transmembrane protein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family. Its primary function is to induce apoptosis by binding to FAS, regulating the immune system, including activation-induced cell death (AICD) of T cells and cytotoxic T lymphocyte-induced cell death. FASLG is also associated with cancer progression in swine, and its deficiency can lead to autoimmune diseases. Additionally, the soluble form of FASLG can activate NF-kappa-B, initiating non-apoptotic signaling pathways.
