Target Information
Vibrio vulnificus is a naturally occurring bacterium found in warm, brackish seawater. It is a marine zoonotic pathogen that can cause fatal septicemia, known as vibriosis, in both humans and fish. The Fe/S biogenesis protein NfuA plays a crucial role in the biogenesis of iron-sulfur clusters. It binds to a 4Fe-4S cluster and can transfer this cluster to apoproteins, thereby facilitating the maturation of Fe/S proteins.
