Target Information
Sonic Hedgehog Signaling Molecule A is encoded by the shha gene in zebrafish. Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling, mediated via its Smoothened (Smo) effector, is a pathway that plays a dual role in fin regeneration and appendage development. During caudal fin development and regeneration, Shha is expressed in the distal epidermal domains that overlay each forming ray.
