Target Information

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical compound extensively utilized in the production of various plastics. This substance is a colorless solid that dissolves well in most common organic solvents but has very limited solubility in water. Known as a xenoestrogen, BPA exhibits hormone-like properties, mimicking estrogen's effects within the body. Research has indicated that BPA acts as both a reproductive and developmental toxin in animals and functions as an endocrine disruptor.
