Target Information

Brucella ceti is a Gram-negative bacterial pathogen within the Brucellaceae family responsible for causing brucellosis in cetaceans. It has been identified in both classes of cetaceans: mysticetes and odontocetes. Common symptoms include spontaneous abortions, fatigue, anorexia, seizures, fainting, and neurobrucellosis, which may result in disorientation and stranding events.
