Target Information

Chitinase-3-like protein 1, also known as chi3l1 or YKL-40, is a secreted glycoprotein with a size of approximately 40kDa. Chitinase catalyzes the hydrolysis of chitin, a rich glycopolymer found in insect exoskeleton and fungal cell wall. This protein is thought to play a role in the process of inflammation and tissue remodeling.
