Target Information

IgG, also known as Immunoglobulin G is the most abundant antibody in serum, and is critical for humoral immunity. IgG plays an important role in opsonizing microbes for phagocytosis and killing, activating the complement cascade, and neutralizing many bacterial endotoxins and viruses. IgG (Fc) antibody has been used for monitoring of the IgG response in influenza infected pigs.
