Target Information

Bovine Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE) is a zinc-containing dipeptidase that plays a crucial role in converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor that regulates blood pressure. ACE also inactivates bradykinin, a vasodilator, and is involved in various physiological processes including male fertility, erythropoiesis, and immune system regulation. Dysregulation of ACE is associated with hypertension and fibrotic diseases.
