Target Information
Bovine inhibin alpha (INHA) is a key subunit of the inhibin complex, which regulates pituitary function and modulates the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and activin. It is a member of the TGF-β superfamily and plays a crucial role in reproductive processes, including gonadal function and embryonic development. Inhibin alpha forms heterodimers with beta subunits (βA or βB) to create inhibin A or inhibin B, which have distinct biological activities. Inhibin alpha is also implicated in various physiological processes such as hormone secretion, cell proliferation, and immune response.
