Target Information

Feline pancreatic lipase (FPL) is an essential enzyme in cats responsible for the digestion of dietary lipids. FPL is responsible for the hydrolysis of dietary triglycerides into monoglycerides and free fatty acids, which can then be absorbed by the intestinal lining. The enzyme is produced in the exocrine pancreas and secreted into the small intestine, where it functions optimally in an alkaline environment.
