Target Information
Porcine guanine nucleotide binding protein alpha 13 (GNA13) is a member of the G-protein family, which plays a pivotal role in signal transduction pathways in pigs. GNA13, as a Gα protein, is involved in the regulation of various cellular processes through its interaction with G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). Upon activation by GPCRs, GNA13 can stimulate downstream effectors, leading to the modulation of intracellular signaling cascades that influence cell growth, differentiation, and response to external stimuli. This protein is particularly important in the context of the cardiovascular system, where it contributes to the regulation of blood vessel tone and blood pressure. GNA13 is also implicated in the control of cell migration and adhesion, which are critical for tissue remodeling and wound healing.
