Target Information
Bovine Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is a multifunctional enzyme involved in glycolysis, catalyzing the conversion of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate. It is highly conserved across species and exists as a tetramer of identical 37-kDa subunits. GAPDH is widely expressed in various tissues and is known for its role in DNA repair, RNA export, and apoptosis. In bovine models, GAPDH is commonly used as a loading control in Western Blot due to its high expression levels and stability.
