Target Information
Canine Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is a multifunctional enzyme involved in glycolysis, catalyzing the phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate. It is highly conserved across species and is widely used as a loading control in Western Blot due to its stable expression in most tissues. In addition to its glycolytic role, GAPDH is involved in various cellular processes, including DNA repair, RNA transport, and apoptosis.
