Target Information
Porcine TEA domain family member 3, also known as TEAD3, is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including development, regeneration, and disease. TEAD3, along with other TEAD family members (TEAD1, TEAD2, and TEAD4), binds to specific DNA sequences in the promoter regions of target genes, thereby regulating their expression. In the context of porcine cells, TEAD3 is involved in muscle development and disease through its interaction with the muscle-specific cytidine-adenosine-thymidine sequence (MCAT element). The TEAD family of transcription factors has been implicated in the regulation of cell proliferation, survival, and tissue homeostasis. They achieve this by forming complexes with coactivators such as YAP and TAZ, which are controlled by the Hippo signaling pathway.
