Target Information

Bovine angiopoietin 1 (Ang-1) is a critical growth factor that acts on the Tie receptor family, predominantly expressed in endothelial cells and crucial for vascular development and homeostasis. It plays a significant role in angiogenesis, the maturation of newly-formed vessels, and the maintenance of vascular integrity. Ang-1 is known for its vascular protective effects, such as suppressing plasma leakage, inhibiting vascular inflammation, and preventing endothelial cell death. It also has the potential to regulate microvascular reactivity and protect the microcirculation during acute endothelial dysfunction through the eNOS and VE-cadherin signaling pathways.
