Target Information
Porcine epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM), also known as CD326, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a significant role in cell adhesion and signaling. It is highly expressed in epithelia and epithelial-derived neoplasms and is involved in cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. In porcine induced pluripotent stem cells (piPSCs), EpCAM is highly expressed and plays a critical role in cell reprogramming. The intracellular domain of EpCAM (EpICD) can translocate to the nucleus and regulate downstream target gene expression, promoting pluripotency and cell proliferation.
