Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) is the most widely studied member of the IL-17 family, a group of proteins that have a highly conserved C-terminus containing a cysteine-knot fold structure. Swine IL-17A is a cytokine of innate and adaptive immune system involved in antimicrobial host defense and maintenance of tissue integrity. IL-17A plays a critical role in host defense against various microbial pathogens as well as tissue inflammation.
