Target Information

In the veterinary field,Borrelia Afzelii basic membrane protein A (bmpA) is an important immunogenic protein. It is expressed during the early immune response of Lyme disease and can induce specific antibodies in the host. BmpA, as an outer membrane lipoprotein, plays a role in host invasion by binding to laminin. Additionally, BmpA is widely used in serological diagnosis of Lyme disease to detect specific antibodies in host serum.
