Target Information

Avian leukosis virus (ALV), a member of the Retroviridae family, causes notable economic damage to the global poultry industry through virus-related tumors and decreased productivity in commercial layer and breeder flocks. The P27 protein, a capsid component of ALV, self-assembles into an irregular polyhedron core made up of hexamers and pentamers, encapsulating the genomic RNA-nucleocapsid complex.
