Target Information

H1N1 flu, commonly known as swine flu, is a variant of the influenza A virus. Swine influenza can result from several influenza A subtypes, such as H1N1, H1N2, H2N3, H3N1, and H3N2. Non-structural protein 1 (NS1) impedes post-transcriptional processing of cellular pre-mRNA by binding to and inhibiting two essential cellular proteins: cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor 30 (CPSF30) and poly(A)-binding protein nuclear 1 (PABPN1).
