Target Information
Feline leukemia virus viral T-cell receptor beta chain-Like T17T-22 (V-TCR) is a viral protein that mimics the T-cell receptor beta chain. It is transduced by FeLV and contributes to the pathogenesis of T-cell lymphomas in cats. This protein is involved in the transformation of T-cells and is often found in FeLV-induced tumors alongside other oncogenes like v-myc. In veterinary medicine, V-TCR is used to study the molecular mechanisms of FeLV-induced cancers and to develop diagnostic tools for detecting FeLV-associated malignancies.
