Target Information

Bovine cathepsin K (CTSK) is a cysteine protease predominantly expressed in osteoclasts and is central to the bone resorption process. It degrades collagen I and other matrix proteins in bone, playing a significant role in the maintenance of bone homeostasis. In cattle, CTSK is crucial for bone remodeling and is a key enzyme in the degradation of bone matrix, which is essential for normal bone physiology and health.
