Target Information
Candida glabrata, an opportunistic pathogenic yeast, is a part of the mycobiota in both humans and yellow-legged gulls and tends to develop resistance to fluconazole. Autophagy-related protein 8 (ATG8) serves as an ubiquitin-like modifier playing a crucial role in autophagosome formation. Together with ATG4, it facilitates the delivery of autophagosomes to the vacuole through the microtubule cytoskeleton.
