Target Information

Epidermal growth factor is encoded by the EGF gene in dogs. It is a protein that stimulates cell growth and differentiation by binding to its receptor, EGFR. Research has shown that EGF enhances the malignant phenotype in canine mammary carcinoma cell lines.
