Target Information
Canine lysosomal phospholipase A and acyltransferase (PLA2G15) is an enzyme localized in lysosomes and late endosomes. It hydrolyzes fatty acyl groups from phospholipids and transfers them to other molecules. This enzyme plays a role in lipid metabolism and detoxification of oxidized phospholipids. It is also involved in normal phospholipid degradation in macrophages and the spleen. Its activity is crucial for maintaining lipid homeostasis.
