Target Information
In felines, CD56 antigen is a cell adhesion molecule belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in lymphocytes, particularly in natural killer (NK) cells and certain T cell subsets. CD56 in feline lymphocytes shares similar characteristics with human CD56, participating in cell adhesion and immune responses. Additionally, CD56 is expressed in feline T cells, with functions similar to human CD56, including mediating non-MHC-restricted cytotoxicity.
