Target Information
Swine bone morphogenetic protein 1 (BMP1) is a member of the TGF-β superfamily, playing a role in the regulation of bone formation and tissue remodeling. BMP1 is involved in the synthesis of extracellular matrix and collagen, impacting both development and repair processes. In swine, it can be studied for its effects on skeletal health and might be utilized in breeding programs to enhance traits related to bone strength and growth.
