Target Information

Mouse B-cell Receptor CD22 (CD22) is a sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-type lectin expressed on B cells. It functions as an inhibitory receptor, regulating B cell activation and preventing autoimmunity. CD22 binds to sialic acid-containing ligands on other cells, modulating B cell responses. This receptor plays a role in maintaining immune tolerance and preventing excessive B cell activation. CD22 has been targeted in therapies for B cell malignancies, such as certain types of leukemia and lymphoma.
