Fatty acid-binding protein, adipocyte, commonly referred to as FABP4, is encoded by the FABP4 gene in sheep. These proteins belong to a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind to long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands.

User Note
