Sheep interleukin-6 (IL6) is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays a significant role in the immune response and inflammation in sheep. It is involved in the regulation of immune cell activity, the acute-phase response, and hematopoiesis. IL-6 is produced by various cell types in response to immune stimuli and is particularly important in the early stages of sheep oocyte maturation and embryonic development
. The cytokine is also associated with the pathogenesis of various inflammatory diseases and has been implicated in the response to viral infections, such as COVID-19.

This product is shipped with dry ice. It is recommended to aliquote as needed and store at -80°C upon receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4°C for 1 week, at < -80°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
