Target Information
Swine bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein family, which is part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily. BMP4 is an extracellular signaling molecule crucial for normal development, as its absence in mice is embryonic lethal. It plays a role in various biological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, survival, migration, and even cell fate determination. BMP4 is also involved in skeletal repair, bone regeneration processes, and has been implicated in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other diseases.
