Target Information

Swine neurofilament light polypeptide (NEFL) is a crucial component of the neuronal cytoskeleton, predominantly found in myelinated axons where it contributes to the radial growth of axons and the regulation of nerve impulse conduction velocity
. NEFL plays a vital role in maintaining the structure and function of neurons, and its levels in biological fluids like blood and cerebrospinal fluid can serve as a biomarker for neuronal injury in various neurological disorders.
