Target Information

Vancomycin demonstrates bactericidal effects by obstructing cell wall synthesis in both aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive bacteria. The dosages of vancomycin used in animals are largely based on empirical evidence. In instances where vancomycin alone is insufficient, using it in combination with other antibiotics can enhance its effectiveness.
