Target Information

Zearalenone (ZEN), also referred to as RAL and F-2 mycotoxin, is a powerful estrogenic metabolite produced by certain Fusarium and Gibberella species. It commonly contaminates crops such as maize, wheat, oats, and barley. Farm animals are often exposed to zearalenone through their feed, due to the widespread presence of this mycotoxin in cereals. Consequently, clinical reproductive disorders related to mycotoxin effects are frequently reported in farm animal species.
