Target Information

Prednisone is a steroid medication used to manage inflammation, autoimmune disorders, Addison's disease, and certain types of cancer in dogs. As a prodrug, it requires conversion by the liver into its active form, prednisolone, which then binds to glucocorticoid receptors, initiating changes in gene expression.
