Target Information

Salbutamol is a short-acting β2 adrenergic receptor agonist that relaxes airway smooth muscles. Due to its low toxicity, it is considered safe for various animals and is commonly used to treat acute airway obstructions across multiple species. It is typically administered to manage bronchospasm or coughing in cats and dogs and also serves as a bronchodilator for horses with recurrent airway obstruction. Additionally, it can be used in emergency situations to treat asthmatic cats.
